The way SNIPER D.M.S manages documents and folders is very similar to a file system on your hard disk. But it offers much more when it comes to additional meta data like author, keywords, a description, and arbitrary attributes.
Each document has at least one version which is the actual content of the document. When updates are made to the document, a new version will be created, and the system will keep old versions of the document.
- To Create Folders:
- Navigate to Add sub-folder from the main bar.
- After Creating a folder, click on its name to edit access privileges. Permissions for this folder can be created here.
- To Create a Document:
- Select the folder you want to upload your files to from the main screen.
- Then, navigate to Add document from the main bar. Numerous options are available and these are a list of some important options:
- Name: the name of the document on the system.
- Keywords: More Info
- Categories: More Info
- Workflow: assign the file to one of the created workflows More Info About The Workflow
